my flu was a blessing

I came down with a flu 2 days ago... i was sneezing and sneezing away... each time I met him, i wud b fine, no sneezes at all... hurrmmm... but at nite, i wud hv runny nose... yikes... so, the medicine made me really drowsy that I cud not wake up the next day. I even had headache....
However, after shower, I was alright... still a bit feverish, but, I just cudnt bear staying at home alone... so, what did I do... hmm.. went out for lunch la!

hehe... i didnt want to go to the usual mall we hang out, I insisted on noodles, so we went to a place called noodle station... it was walking to distance to where I wl b staying aft the wedding... hmmm... i ordered mee soup with fish cakes  & fish balls, my favourite! :) i am against eating chicken meat... ahhaa... he ordered my fav CKT... he is jz wonderful, he always orders food that I like to eat, just in case mine tastes bad, I cn always hv his meal... sweet right? :) We had lychee tea (heavenly) n he had mango tea... I think I shud get some for the hse la... lychee tea...

After lunch, we walked to our condo, he showed me around, there is a MyMydin there, saloon, lots of makan places, kedai buku, a place to get my manicure and padicure, even gift shops.... his face was beaming so bright when he showed me around... he least expected the area near the condo will develop this fast ;)

I just felt so blessed... after that, I was jz so lazy to go bk n take medicine and rest at home (which is sumthing that I think I shud hv done)...so, he took me to his former hse, showed me around, showed wher his bro studied and hw he used to hang out n run across the road....

Later, we went to his former school, Stapak High Skool, he told me hw his gang used to behave whenever they St Marion's, Ayer Panas or CBN girls... he must hv been very naughty as a skool kid... we had yumcha at a small tea stall he used to frequent when he was in skool... the tea tastes different now, he said, probably the uncle's son is running it nw...

My first post

I have been teaching blogging for a couple of years nw, so, I guess its time to set up my own blog. Happy New Year 2011 to all of you. I hope everyone will have a blessed year ahead! For me, it is definitely going to be an eventful year. Yeah, I am finally settling down... I know I am probably the last of my classmates that have married yet, so, I am definitely happy.

According to my fiance, its 135 days to the wedding. That doesn't leave me much time to enjoy my last days of being carefree. Preparing for the engagement in Nov 2010 was hectic. It wasnt easy for my parents as there were more arguments on budget, finance and fulfilling my sometimes ridiculuos dream, whim and fantasies. But, somehow nearing the engagement, things fell into place. My brothers and parents worked till the wee hours preparing for the event at home. We had the decorators down to do the backdrop that I had designed. I supervised their work and I was so happy with the final output. owh, the lights in backdrop was like cherry top on an ice cream cone.

Anyways, with just 135 days to the wedding, I have started to assist my mum in the kitchen, not just tumis sayur la (which i hv been doing since i was 12)... but more to making ventayam kulambu, rasam, parupu sambar and chicken perattal. I hv no issues with vegetarian dishes, but meat dishes does gv me the creeps!

Amma suggested that I get kitchen gloves...
